Vibe With is a dating app where your friends help you find your person. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it plain, and we keep it honest.

The short version

We collect only what the app needs to build your profile, let your friends weigh in, find you matches near you who fit what you asked for, and let you and a match chat. We do not run advertising. We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not sell your data. When you delete your account, we delete your data.

What we collect, and why

  • Your account details. Your email address and your name, so you can sign in and so your profile has a name on it.
  • Your profile content. Your photos, your bio, and anything else you add to your profile. This is what your friends and potential matches see.
  • Your matching details. Your date of birth (used for your age), your gender, the gender you are looking for, and optionally your religion and the languages you speak. We use these to find matches who fit what you asked for and to leave out anyone you said is not a fit.
  • Your location. Your general location, so we can find matches near you and show distance. We use it for matching only.
  • Your messages. The messages you send and receive once you match, so the chat works.
  • Technical basics. A user ID and, if you turn on notifications, a device token so we can send you a push when something happens (a friend weighs in, you get a match, a new message arrives).

Crash and error diagnostics

We use one tool, Sentry, to collect crash and error reports so we can find and fix problems. When the app hits an error, Sentry records the technical details of that error (such as your device model, your operating system version, and the error itself). It is tied only to an anonymous account number, never to your name, email, photos, or messages, and it is not used to track you. That is the only diagnostic tool in the app.

What we do not do

  • We do not use advertising or usage-analytics tools, and we do not track what you do inside the app for marketing.
  • We do not track you across other companies apps or websites, so there is no tracking permission to grant.
  • We do not show ads.
  • We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Who helps us run the service

A few trusted companies process data on our behalf so the app can work. They act only on our instructions:

  • Supabase stores your account, profile, and app data, and handles sign in.
  • Stream powers the in app chat between you and your matches.
  • Resend sends account emails, such as your email confirmation.
  • Expo and Apple deliver push notifications to your device.
  • Apple and Google handle sign in if you choose to sign in with them.
  • Sentry collects crash and error diagnostics so we can fix problems (see above).

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, including your profile, photos, messages, and matching details. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app, in Settings.

Your choices

  • Delete your account. Settings has a delete option that removes your data.
  • Edit your profile. You can change your photos, bio, and matching details whenever you like.
  • Notifications. You can turn push notifications off in your device settings.

Who can use Vibe With

Vibe With is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account, and the app checks your date of birth at sign up.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
